Redbridge Olympic Day.

On Wednesday 17h September a group of 60 year 8 pupils represented Valentines at an Olympic Day at Redbridge Sports Centre, as part of the SSCo programme.
Each school had a country to represent. For Valentines it was Spain and to the sound of the Spanish national anthem, everyone paraded wearing yellow t-shirts and waving the flags that they had made.
The day was packed with sporting activities including squash, indoor rowing, netball, badminton, hockey, football, tennis and boccia.
We performed well in all activities, gradually accumulating lots of points.
Finally as a result we had 2 very good results.
The netball team won the competition and all received a gold medal and Valentines came 3rd overall out of 16 schools and everyone received a bronze medal
A fantastic result - well done to everyone !
