For the next 3 weeks Valentines High School pupils are experiencing some specially designed hockey lessons for their PE lessons. 3 Essex hockey players are taking some year 9 girls lessons to encourage pupils to take up hockey and to give them some experienced coaching. The girls have experienced one lesson already and are enquiring about hockey clubs in the area and asking about any tournaments that are happening. The pupils loved it and are really excited about the next few lessons.
The partnership has been set up by Mrs May in the PE department who is also a SSCO. She has also found a variety of different sport coaches to give some specialised coaching at Valentines High School. Rugby and dance specialists are already scheduled to teach at Valentines in the next few weeks.
